We think it is important that you know which cookies we use and for what purposes we do this. Below you can read more about the types of cookies we distinguish, who places them, the reasons why they are used and how long the cookies are stored. In addition, you can manage your consent preferences via the preferences menu.
2. What are cookies?
3. Why and which cookies do we use?
4. Functional cookies
These cookies are necessary for bricksblue to function properly. Functional cookies are for example:
- cookies that have to do with the user functionality of our platform, such as logging in or being able to save your last search;
- no-follow cookies, based on this we know which other types of cookies we may place on your device with your permission and which we may not;
Various features in the bricksblue platform are aimed at making it as easy as possible for you as a user and also storing your personal preferences. For example, we store your last used search query in cookies, so that you can return to that search directly from the homepage on the next visit to our site.
5. Analytical cookies
These cookies give us information about the quality and effectiveness of the services we provide. We distinguish between:
- analytical cookies that measure the quality and effectiveness of the bricksblue platform;
- A/B testing cookies, which allow us to test different interface scenarios;
- site and performance monitoring cookies, with which we can guarantee the stability of bricksblue.
In order to determine which parts of the bricksblue platform are most interesting for our visitors, we try to use tools such as Google Analytics – which we set up as privacy-friendly as possible – to continuously measure how many visitors come to our platform, which parts are viewed the most and how quickly the pages load. We then make statistics of all this information collected by us. These give us insight into how the bricksblue platform is used, how we can keep the platform stable and what improvements we need to implement to optimize our services.
6. Personalization cookies
7. Advertising cookies
These cookies are used by us and by third parties with whom we cooperate (hereinafter: bricksblue partners). Based on your internet behaviour inside and outside the bricksblue platform and across the different devices you use, a user profile is built up with this. This allows advertisements to be tailored to you personally, both on our platform and by third parties. These cookies are used, for example:
- to keep track of which ads you've already seen;
- to keep track of how many visitors see the ad in its entirety, click on it or place an order after clicking on it;
- to build a personal profile and to be able to offer you relevant advertisements on the bricksblue platform or other platforms based on your personal interests.
Advertising networks and media agencies in some cases act as intermediaries between us and the companies that place advertisements on bricksblue. Through these intermediaries, advertisers can automatically bid on advertising space. Due to the use of these advertising techniques, we do not always have a timely overview of the parties that advertise and the cookies that they place via the bricksblue platform.
8. How long are cookies stored?
9. Do I have to give permission?
We inform you as well as possible about the purposes for which cookies are stored on your device, and which ones they are exactly. We place all functional and analytical cookies as soon as you use bricksblue. To place personalization and advertising cookies, we need your permission. You provide this to us by making an explicit choice via our cookie banner, or via the preferences menu. If you do not want to give permission, you can use bricksblue without the personalization and advertising cookies. If you do not give permission for advertising cookies, this does not mean that advertisements will no longer be shown. In that case, the advertisements will no longer be tailored to your personal interests.
10. How do you withdraw your consent to cookies?
You can manage your cookie preferences in the pop-up screen via the link “Change Cookies” at the bottom of the bricksblue website.
Please be aware that if you do not give permission for cookies, we cannot guarantee that the bricksblue platform will still work properly.
If you do not want us, or other websites, to place cookies on your device at all, you can adjust your browser settings so that you receive a warning before cookies are placed or with which you can refuse the placing of cookies in its entirety. You can also delete cookies that have already been placed via your browser. Please note that you must adjust the settings separately for each browser used and each device you use.
How you can adjust your settings differs per browser. If necessary, consult the help function of your browser or click on one of the icons below to go directly to the manual of your browser.
With regard to the advertising networks and techniques that bricksblue works with and that, like bricksblue, are responsible for the personal data obtained with this, you can find more information about the processing of personal data by these parties here and adjust your preferences for this:
