BricksBlue is officially registered with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce as Nuvatefy S.L. with the trade name BricksBlue Real Estate portal., under number 21175408. Our office is located at Partida el Pla 20 in Crevillente in Spain. In the rest of this document, we use our shortened and better-known name: BricksBlue.

BricksBlue is here to help you, our visitor, get closer to your dream home or support you in your work as a real estate professional. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We process your personal data. For example, you expect us to pass on your request to a broker or email you about a new offer. Throughout our entire work process, we handle your data very carefully. In this privacy policy we explain what we do, why and what it means for you.

We are transparent about the way in which and the purposes for which we process your personal data. We use appropriate techniques to protect your personal data and we are available if you want to communicate with us about your privacy at BricksBlue.

To whom does this privacy policy apply

At BricksBlue we handle our visitors with care and therefore also with their personal data. We want to enable you as a registered visitor to find, adjust and use your personal data in the way that suits you best, always fulfilling our privacy promise. This policy applies to all personal data we obtain about you as a visitor through your use of our services on the BricksBlue platform, regardless of whether you visit BricksBlue as a potential buyer, tenant, seller, landlord or otherwise. Insofar as you as a broker provide data to BricksBlue, in addition to this privacy policy, the privacy statement for brokers also applies.

What personal data does BricksBlue process?

BricksBlue processes the following data from you that can be personal data insofar as they can be traced back to you as an individual:

A. Account information, information with which you create and use an account, such as email address and password, account information that you optionally use to enrich your account, such as name, phone number, and information that facilitates your search, such as the Items you keep. With this account you can log in to BricksBlue and manage your data.
B. Data that you give to us to provide you with a service, such as the content of contact requests and other requests for services that we forward to the broker at your request.
C. Automatically generated data, such as IP addresses, device ID and browser data that we collect through cookies, among other things
D. Data about how you use the BricksBlue platform, such as which services you use and which Objects you find interesting, in order to build a profile on the basis of which we can personalize the BricksBlue platform and our services.
E. Correspondence data, such as data in e-mails that you send to BricksBlue or messages that you address to us via social media.
F. Object data, such as photos, address details, floor plans, surface area, year of construction and other characteristics of an Object.

Why does BricksBlue process personal data?

In short, it is necessary to process personal data in order to be able to offer and improve our services, and to keep our platform safe, fast and always available. It is also necessary to process personal data in order for our customer contact to run smoothly. In addition, we use your personal data for marketing purposes. By marketing purposes, we mean (market) analyses, statistical research, sending newsletters, targeted advertisements and other content. When we process personal data on the basis of the execution of the agreement or on the basis of a legal obligation, the provision of that personal data is a necessary condition for being able to use our services and products.

2. Legitimate interest: we may use your pseudonymised personal data to make advertisements relevant to you. To limit the privacy impact, we use security techniques such as hashing. If we engage third parties for this, we make agreements with them to safeguard privacy. We also ensure that the frequency with which we show relevant advertisements remains limited.

How does BricksBlue obtain personal data?

Most of the personal data that we have is provided by you as a visitor to BricksBlue yourself. This happens, for example, when you create an account, or make an application with or for a broker.

In addition, BricksBlue processes automatically generated data, such as the page you visited, your IP address and browser data. This takes place, among other things, with the help of cookies or similar techniques (for more information about this, see our cookie policy).

How long is personal data stored?

- We only keep your personal data for as long as we need it for the purpose for which we process it or to comply with our legal obligations. We use the following criteria when determining the retention periods:

- If you use our services, such as creating an account, we will keep your personal data for as long as we need it to provide and improve that service. Or until the moment you want to remove them (or have them removed).

- If you have consented to receive emails, we will retain your personal data until you withdraw that consent. As soon as you do that, BricksBlue will still retain personal data that is necessary to be able to demonstrate when you have given permission and when you have withdrawn it.

- We keep financial information such as invoices for as long as we are legally obliged to do so. In the case of most financial information, this is 7 years.

- You or the broker concerned can indicate to BricksBlue that an Object may no longer be published on the BricksBlue platform. We retain Object Data for as long as we need it to provide and improve our services.

- Property data we obtain through brokers is refreshed daily.

- If cookies or similar techniques are placed on your computer, we will display the retention period in our cookie policy.

With whom does BricksBlue share personal data?

For the purposes described above, we work with third parties. We often share (part of) your personal data with them.

If you leave your data on our platform to purchase a certain service, we will (if necessary) share your personal data with the party that provides the service, such as a broker. Think of contact requests for a broker.

For example, we also work together with parties that provide communication for BricksBlue and carry out the monitoring of the platform. Furthermore, we share data with our hosting parties, research and analysis agencies, advertising platforms, and (other) processors who act on our behalf.

Of course, BricksBlue publishes object data on the BricksBlue platform, which makes them visible to everyone who visits the BricksBlue platform. In addition, BricksBlue sends Object Data to a visitor via e-mail if it fits within his search criteria. We also share Object Data via our social media channels. A visitor also has the option to share Objects on social media or via e-mail with others via the BricksBlue platform.

Should it occur that (one or more parts of) the company of BricksBlue are transferred to a third party, then as part of this acquisition the personal data that BricksBlue processes can also be transferred to this third party. If this situation occurs, BricksBlue will inform you in a timely manner via the BricksBlue platform.

International transfers of personal data

BricksBlue is a Spanish party, just like many of the parties we work with. To the extent that the third parties we work with process the personal data at a location outside the EEA, they do so subject to appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses drawn up by the European Commission and other safeguards.

How does BricksBlue secure personal data?

To prevent someone else from using or processing your personal data unlawfully, we have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures. We use, among other things, physical (access) security, passwords, encryption of passwords, bot detection, encryption (of storage and communication channels). 

What about social media?

BricksBlue does not include social media functionalities, such as like buttons or pixels, on the BricksBlue platform. However, we do have profiles on social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook and link to them on the BricksBlue platform. For the processing of personal data that BricksBlue obtains via a social media channel, this privacy statement of BricksBlue applies. If you share an Object from the BricksBlue platform via a social media channel, BricksBlue will only forward the information from the Object to the relevant social media channel. BricksBlue can also post Object Data on BricksBlue social media channels.

What about profiling?

In short, profiling is the collection of characteristics, interests and data from you as a visitor. Based on this, a profile is created so that you can receive targeted and relevant information. BricksBlue does this on the basis of data that we generate using cookies and similar techniques (see our cookie policy), combined with other personal data, such as your surfing and clicking behaviour, what you enter in your account, what you enter when you use our products and services (such as the Value Check, and the results thereof), which Objects you view and what you search for.

BricksBlue only uses profiling to personalize information and to show you mailings and advertisements that are relevant to you. No Objects or other content will be withheld from you based on our profiling.

What are your rights?

You have control over your personal data. You have the right to clear, transparent and comprehensible information. You can always view, modify or delete your personal data that you have entered via your account. In addition, you can contact us to view your personal data that BricksBlue processes about you free of charge. You can also request BricksBlue to change or delete your personal data. We may also transfer personal data under certain circumstances. In addition, you can request us to restrict the processing of your personal data.

Insofar as we use your data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can always object to this.

If we use your personal data on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. For example, if you are subscribed to a BricksBlue newsletter and no longer wish to receive it, you can always unsubscribe (and thus withdraw your consent) by clicking unsubscribe in a newsletter.

If you make a request that relates to how we handle your personal data, we may ask you to identify yourself if necessary. If you send a copy of your passport or other ID proof for that purpose, we ask you to make your passport photo and social security number unreadable.
